A Little About Mr. Gaspar
As a teacher beginning my 22nd year of Middle School teaching, I truly enjoy my role as an educator within SGMS and the Beaumont School District family. In addition to my previous years of middle school teaching experience, I have also enjoyed achieving my lifelong dream of a professional soccer player in Portugal, through the world-renowned Sporting Clube de Portugal. Due to my father's own futebol successes and his commitment to help me achieve my dreams, I learned much about core values like dedication, commitment, and perseverance. The countless experiences of being Portuguese and a professional soccer player, has rewarded me great life-learning moments to share with others and allowed for great opportunity to guide, mentor, and support the goals and passions of youth from an academic and athletic standpoint.
I'm a father to two boys and 1 girl, Cristiano who is 18 years old, Matias who is 14 years old and in 9th grade, and my daughter Inocencia Gaspar who is almost 6 years old and entering the Kindergarten DLI Program at Starlight. I'm married to an amazing Mrs. Gaspar, who is currently one of the Assistant Principals here at SGMS.
With an understanding that extra-curricular activities for students are a valuable "stepping stone" in their journey from middle school to high school years, I find those connections important and want to do my small part to help this growth as the SGMS Boys AND Girls Head Soccer Coach. We will have voluntary trainings throughout the school year (announced ahead of time for planning) for any students interested in improving their soccer skills, with the potential to be involved with our SGMS Soccer Program in early spring 2024.
Along with my fellow SGMS staff, I know full well the importance of helping young people in their journey with commitment and dedication to lifelong learning. This is a great challenge that as teachers, we welcome your parental support and look forward to collaborating together to help all our students achieve their full academic potential along with their future goals in this challenging world.
