Awards:

San Gorgonio Middle School was designated a a model middle school as a "School to Watch" in 2016 and Re-designated as a "School to Watch" in 2019. Only 13 schools were awarded in 2016. Read the article in the Press Enterprise Newspaper. " 

The California Department of Education recognizes San Gorgonio Middle School as a California Gold Ribbon School. This designation is awarded to schools that have outstanding educational programs and practices. Read more about it on the California Department of Education Website.

San Gorgonio Middle School was honored as a Title I school that has demonstrated success in significantly closing the achievement gap between high and low-performing students. Read more about the Title I Academic Award on the California Department of Education Website. 

Instructional Programs:

All students at San Gorgonio Middle School will benefit from site-wide AVID Strategies implemented in all grade levels.AVID’s (Advancement Via Individual Determination) mission is to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness

San Gorgonio Middle School is host the Dual Language Immersion Program for middle school students. Students are instructed in Spanish and English from Kindergarten.
